Yu Chen

Yu Chen has spent years understanding the relationship between scent and memory. She holds qualifications from the Association Française des Fragrances du Monde and MBHT Fabulous Perfumers, and works exclusively with materials sourced from Firmenich, Givaudan, and Symrise, the three ingredient houses behind the world's most recognised fragrances.

She works alone. She takes her time. Every session in the BOHSEM atelier is conducted personally.

Questions

What to expect.

  • None. Yu Chen guides the entire session, from the first question to the final formula. Preference is the only qualification.

  • A 30ml EDP in your chosen bottle, with a personalised label and a BOHSEM gift box. The formula is recorded and held on file for future orders.

  • Each session runs approximately 90 minutes. There is no fixed endpoint; the formula is complete when it is right.

  • Yes. BOHSEM sessions make a considered gift for anyone who has always wanted a fragrance made specifically for them. A gift booking follows the same process, with session timing arranged to suit the recipient.

  • The atelier is based in Adelaide, South Australia. Exact address details are confirmed at the time of booking.
